If you’re interested in starting a career in the exciting world of real estate, you’re at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident, you can follow these six steps to get your Minnesota real estate license.
There are three 30-hour courses (Course I, II, III) that need to be completed, but only Course I needs to be completed before the exam. Kaplan Real Estate Education offers multiple education options that fulfill the 90-hour requirement.

There are two ways to register:
· Online registration: Go to https://home.pearsonvue.com and pay with your Visa or MasterCard.
· Phone registration: Use the Pearson VUE Automated Registration System: 1-833-273-1946 (open 24 hours)
OR registrars are available Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 7 pm and Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm.

Estimated cost to get your license: 3 courses – $1,099, State of Minnesota License Fee = $180
Allow sufficient time before the exam for this valuable course. The Kaplan Minnesota Real Estate License Exam Prep course is designed to make sure there are no surprises on test day. Their updated materials reflect changes in the industry, so you can be confident you’re studying the topics that will ensure your success.
Come to the exam site with:
·Two forms of valid, current, signature identification, one of which must be photo-bearing (driver’s license preferred)
·Original Course I Completion Certificate from Kaplan Real Estate Education
·Simple calculator (non-programmable)
Candidates may cancel or reschedule up to two days before the testing date without penalty.
Keep moving forward in your new career by enrolling in these courses immediately after taking the licensing exam.
